I am trying to avoid a name that ends in ’y’ or ’n’ sound. My list consists of Alyssa, Gemma and Ava at this point. I guess I’m just not sure which way to lean and so many people have conflicting points of view.

I like Kate and Madelyn but I wonder whether Kate is a bit short and there are just too many Maddies running around these days.

I like Sienna and Tahlia but I know other people with children of these names (even though they are not close friends).

I guess I’m looking for that one name to just jump out at me and it’s probably not going to happen. Maybe you get fussier with each child - I had no problems naming any of the others.

I’ve loved Madyson for such a long time but it has taken me so long to finally be having a girl that the name is now too popular. There are at least 6 different Maddy’s at my sons school.
