Amelia and Olivia vs. Too close? vs. Just right?
Our second daughter is expected in about six weeks and its time to decide on her name. We both love Amelia, but baby will be joining sister Olivia (and brother Luke) and we can’t decide if the girl’s names are pretty together or if they are just too close to work. What do you think?

I faced the same problem! When we were pregnant with our youngest, I wanted to call her Amelia Violet but my husband argued it was too close to her sister Olivia. We had five older siblings to consult (one of whom is named Luke, by the way - great minds! lol) and put it to a vote. The concensus was that the two were too close to work, so we went with Eliza instead.

I love your idea, poster three, of putting it to a sibling vote, but I think our two are a little too young to offer a considered opinion! Perhaps for the next one... =)
The majority support of Olivia and Amelia together has swayed my numbers-obsessed hubby and he has relented!
Amelia Elisabeth is set to join Olivia Claire and Luke Joseph on June 9th.
