Is vs. Abigail vs. ok?

I’m having my 4th child, a girl. My other kids are Lydia Colleen (7) Levi Cole (4), and Luke Elliot (2). When we started having children, my husband and I never meant to have a "trend" with the names all starting with L’s. That’s how it turned out though, and this will probably be our last baby. Is it odd to name her Abigail? We would also love middle name suggestions! ~Hannah

Personally I think it is refreshing that you’re breaking out of the trend, especially since it was intentional in the first place! Go with the name you love--Abigail is common but a nice classic

I personally wouldn’t want to be the odd man out in a sibset of all "L"’s. It does seem a little odd to use an A since you have 3 Ls.

I know plenty of families that one persons name doesn’t start with the same letter. Who cares! If you love the name Abigail go for it...makes her special! :)

Thanks for the input! Do you have an L suggestion for if we go that route? And 1st poster, what are your favourite middle names?

Accually, if I were you I would keep in the L trend. Do you Like Lindsey Abigail?

I think it’s so sad when people can’t choose the name they love for their child because they’ve boxed themselves into a trend! And with such an important decision too!

I think it’s fine.

To me, the Biblical trend is the more important one.

Lindsey, for example, would stick out like a sore thumb.

I think Abigail is a fine choice, but Leah would be the other obvious option.

I think it is a little strange. She might feel left out with three other siblings with names that start with L. Here are some more suggestions:
Leah
Leia
Lauren
Laurel
Lily
Lillian
Lila
Lindsey
Layla
Laurie

If you love Abigail, use it as a middle name! It’s so pretty. I like:
Lila Abigail
Leah Abigail
Laurie Abigail

Hope I helped and good luck!! :)

This is so crazy! We are pregnant with our third child and we already have a Lydia and a Luke! We, too, never intended to do "L" names and are struggling with the same situation this time. Everyone thinks we should go with an L name, but I’m not so sure. I think Abigail is a great name and I wouldn’t let the L thing hold you back. (BTW, our choice if #3 was a boy was Elliot, but we just found out it’s a girl).

If you love the name go for it! My sisters name are Erin and Emily, and my name is Kate. I don’t think anything of it, I think it makes me special, not the odd man out. Gl!

I forgot to tell you... some of they L names we’re looking at right now are Louise, Lynn, and Landree. A friend of mine has a Lucy, which is pretty cute too.

Thanks all! I think we will go with Abigail. Middle name favorites right now are Genevieve and Charlotte. Thank you all! @AmberLynn, that is crazy! I love those names :)
