Forrest and Forrester are both boys names. Forrester in particular is very handsome!

Deforrest sounds like deforestation and, imo, should not be used as a name at all.

DeForrest --- I know one once, smart guy but everyone’s sort off raises their eyebrows when they hear it the first time. Forrest is much better, minus the Forrest Gump association. But definitely all boy.

They definitely sound like boys’ names. I’m not fond of names with De or La in front of them... it sounds like a parent searching for an extra syllable.

I have a 15 year old son named Forrest Patrick. He loves his name and there aren’t many out there. We also considered:

Forrest Hamilton
Forrest Ryan

like any?
