Jenna Renae vs. Jessa Renae

Hi. Which name do you prefer? Why? The spelling of Renae stays. (When my dad saw the name Renee he thought it was ren-ee so we’re going with Renae). We have one daughter already Jordin Michelle and a son James Lee. We started a J trend and didnt even mean to. And since this is our last baby we decided she needs a J name too so she wont feel left out when she’s older. So which name do you like best? Or dislike the least? Thanks.

I like Jenna better. Kids think of all kinds of ways to tease and Jessa Messa comes to mind. Also, when I said the name Jessa out loud, it made me think of "congested".

I really don’t understand the trend of people naming their kids all with the same letter. Do you really think a kid would feel left out if they had a great name that started with a different letter. It seems more like they’d think they got their name merely because it fit a pattern. Just my opinion, but was wondering if anyone out there, as adults, felt left out about their given name.

Jessa is too nickname-y. Jenna sounds more like a whole name... I can’t say I’m crazy about either, but I prefer Jenna.

So, let me get this straight. You’re purposely spelling Renee wrong because your dad is ignorant?
