Lainey vs. Formal name

Personally I like Delaney with the nn Laney.I guess it could be spelled Delainey for the nn Lainey.

NN only...I like Lelaina, like Winona Ryder’s character in Reality Bites, she went by Lainie

I know a Layne, full name that goes by Lainey, which I think is so pretty, and grown up ( Layne) and adorable on a child ( Lainey)
Also have a friend named Charlayne, who goes by Lainey or Charley.
Delaney is also cute!

Thank you all for the comments. We’re going to give her a formal name. I want to steer clear of Delaney because it seems popular, lately. I’m trying to find other names I like. More suggestions would be wonderful. Thank you all
