Which polls are fake?

Kids bored on summer vacation. Its annoying. There are like 6 polls about the name Levi for a girl.

I COMPLETELY agree with you. I hate fake polls with a passion. Every once in a while, someone will admit they took a name from another poll because they liked it, but the Edyn poll? So fake, and now the Levi/Leavi debacle continues. And, any time I see multiples I wonder as well, twins ok, triplets, maybe, but quads and quints? Ugggh! When people put a fake poll up, all the votes seem to go there, instead of the posters who really need help. I need a dislike button. Maybe we should report some of the polls, but don’t want to report the wrong fake poll....

I think the Levi polls are fake, the Edeyn polls are fake, the quads ones, and I have heard the Samantha Athena Fleur poll for ages.

Kids are out of school.

I assume any poll on multiples is fake.
Higher order multiples are extremely rare, even with fertility treatments, and posters always reference treatments which are generally considered last resort and are extremely expensive.

I also assume 99% of teen mom polls are fake.

Every now and then there is a "Lenka" poll. When anyone calls the person on it, there are a bunch of posters that call us rude...If anyone gives a negative opinion, they say don’t listen. Certainly there has to be a better website for these kids to frequent. Try "Club Penguin!"

Why would you ever put, "I’m 16, pregnant, and the baby daddy left me." ?????? FAKE! However, there are real polls with crazy names too unfortunately.

I really couldn’t care if they’re fake or not. They’re just for fun. Annoying, yes, but like someone else said, I don’t want to report a "fake" poll, and then find out it’s legit. It’s easier to just roll my eyes and just be amused. Whatever.

I hate that all those teen polls will say they were sexually assaulted- really bothers me. I get suspicious when the same names pop up multiple times in short order on the polls- today was Edeyn, Sienna, Gemma... quads.. Levi/Leavi

Sometimes I think people make "boy names on girls" polls, because they like to get people riled up, and they usually get alot of comments, like top for the day/week.

And then there are polls like, Maximum Ryde, and Elvis on a girl.... for awhile there it was a poll of really different Irish names- like Niamh and Aiofe, two or three times daily.

I still don’t get the hatred for the boys on girls names, but there do seem to be an awful lot of girls named Elliot on here....

I get annoyed when anyone puts "no rude comments" on their poll. it’s the internet, babe. no guarantees there. And then it’s normally a really awful name that inevitably gets a lot of rude comments. -yawn-

Ha! I think the irish ones could have been me!!!! - well they were for one irish one welsh... They weren’t fake if this was just over a month ago? I now have a baby girl named Seren Roisin and am just here to help others now!

You know what’s really funny the owners of the Edeyn and the Leavi polls are not on this poll defending that there polls are real! If someone was saying that my poll was fake i would be defending it! Where are the parents while there children are surfing the web all day

I hate the polls where the poster is 16 and is "beyond thrilled" about being pregnant...or is 18 and pregnant with her third child...

No, Caoimhe, yours was the first. I remember it because you taught us how to say the name. I think Niamh showed up at least 8 times on different polls after that, besides your poll..... I have to admit, though, that I am addicted to this site, and my baby is 12 weeks old, lol! I think it is a lot of fun to help others. Also, I hate polls where the poster never checks back in. They ask for urgent help, and then never make a comment? By the way,Caoimhe, I love Seren Roisin...

sometimes I get suspicious of polls when the poster has more than 6 kids already. I assume if you have 6 kids you’ve gotten the hang of naming them...

Thank you! I agree - I’m still hooked on this website! Seren was premature (32 weeks) so I haven’t been able to take her out of the house - helping people on here has been keeping me sane! I ended up having an emergency c section after a car accident with a hysterectomy thrown in for good measure so our little star will always be incredibly special to us! What’s your bundle of joys name?

Yeah, I agree about the "6 kids already comment." It is highly unlikely that so many people have 6, or 8 kids already then are having twins. I know that some people do have a lot of children, but most do not. Most of the students I teach have no more than 4 kids in the family..most have 2 or 3 and many are only children.

Caoimhe, my daughter’s name is Elin Grace. I too, have been homebound. She was in NICU for a week, and I developed a rare heart condition due to birth, so this is my entertainment

I am guilty of posting a few of the same names on diff polls for girls but i gave up a few weeks ago b/c i still cant decide on one yet. I just like reading everyone elses comments & ideas & suggesting names that I like but cant use. Maybe I will eventually see something I like.

Elin Grace is a lovely name too! Why was she in NICU? My Seren was in NICU for 2 weeks too (she wasn’t breathing on her own to start with)... they are amazing but i just remember being overwhelmed by the whole experience, mind you i spent a couple of days in intensive care myself so i spose that didn’t help! Hope you are ok?

Elin was full term, but in for a suspected infection, turned out to be negative, but they kept her on meds for a week anyway. I was also in the CIcU- I went into congestive heart failure due to peripartum cardiomyopathy ( due to the birth)- it is a serious/lethal condition, you can look it up!

I’m also guilty of posting a poll several times, with the same name in it. I’m just having trouble deciding on a name and need extra input. Thanks to all the help, maybe my baby will have a name decided soon. I’m addicted also and I now love helping others with names. I also visit this site everyday, looking to see what names others are using and reading comments on them.

I think people might have gotten my intention wrong. There is nothing wrong with posting a poll several times, with the same names as you narrow them down. Sometimes though, for an example, the Leavi polls.... six variations of Leavi in a row make it look fake. Glad to help anyone who really needs it.

On other poll, the "leavi" poster just admitted she was a 14 year old girl that had no one to talk to......that’s why the fake polls hurt....people waste other’s time and start fights on the poll....fake posters should be banned!

Fake posters should be banned. I just hate when people names an stories sort of match yours and people assume your the same person. Like now im having a baby girl and i have a son named Joseph that goes by Joey an my fiance has a son named Joseph... but i haven’t but my poll up yet but i saw a fake poster that said she had a son named Joseph an she is naming her soon to be son Joseph Too!!!! How dumb is that?? obviously that was a FAKE POLL!!!

Sorry i wasn’t clear. Someone on here posted before that there boyfriend had a son named Joseph & she is thinking about naming her next son Joseph... doesn’t that sound like a Fake Poll???

To all you people that say Fake Polls should be banned, they are. It is just hard to be sure. I once saw a person who wanted to name their kid either Dasani or Aquafina, and their son’s name was Geyser. COME ON!!!! So fake, they are water bottle names! I also saw on a different poll that a woman expected a girl, figured out it was a boy, but was asking on the poll if it would be ok to name her son Sara Nicole. Ppsshh! No! Then, I saw later that poll was deleted. Ha!
