Aoife vs. Aoife

This is the top name for our daughter. We’d like opinions and middle name suggestions for her. Her brothers are Eamon and Casey and her sister is Rosalie Grainne. I love it but that is because I know how to pronounce it. I think it might be hard for her to spell, and hard for others to pronounce. It might give her a hard time as she grows up.

Pretty name, but she’ll always have to tell people how to pronounce it. Until I saw your last post, I had no idea how one would say it....

It’s definitely interesting, not really my style, and really confusing to pronounce. But it’s about you and what you like! I just think in school..you know kids can be mean and she might grow up to not like it. But what do I know...you guys do what you like! It’s your daughter! :)

I did not have a clue how to even pronounce this until someone posted it. I think your child will have to constantly tell people how it is spelled and pronounced. If you love it then go with it, but if you are unsure at all DO NOT. Good luck!
