wdyt vs. ?

I know that a person makes a name, but I would like to know if any of you have noticed this in your own lives...the names Mallory, Keelyn, Auburn for girls and Bodie and Kirby for boys for example, are all used by only one person. These people and other names used by one person are pretty much outlaws to sum it up. Ever since I was little I wanted my future children to have a more unique name than Mary or John, but now that I look at it, the people who I know who have a "unique" name are not so good. Has anyone else noticed a trend in this individuality? Or is it just me and my area?

I know what you mean..perhaps ’non-conformist’ parents...but then again, my kids are named Kane and Logan (which were not popular in the least where i live-UK) I know a little boy called Anakin and a solemon who both come from nice families and are lovely lads. I personally like names which stand out a little. But theres a difference between unique names and trendy/made up names i think. I like Mason Coles from the above list btw

No, I think you just notice it more because only one person has that particular name...if they’re "bad" you associate that with the name but since you probably know at least 6 people named Matt the odds are half will be "bad", half will be "good" and you won’t associate the name with either.

I’m not even sure what your question is asking. Aren’t all names used by "just one person"? I haven’t noticed a particular "outlaw" personality type with people with these names. In fact, I’ve never even known a Keelyn. The girls named Mallory I’ve known are pretty good, decent kids. I’ve only known one Kirby. Ever.
