They are pronounced YA-na and YO-nahs, not with hard J’s, as I said. And thank-you for the suggestion, but Jonah doesn’t really work and rhymes too much with Jana. Thanks

Not my favourites, but I would definitely choose these names over a lot of names on this site (namely Harper, Parker, Hudson, Finay etc)

I think it’s silly when people say no to a name just because it reminds them of someone fairly well-known. Jana and Jonas are just fine and go well together.

I think that they are too similar actually. They sound matchy and kind of tacky. I would use one and find a less matchy name for the other. Ya na is not bad but Yo nas sounds silly. Sorry if that sounded rude.

I think they will always be called with the hard J sound. If you want the Y sound than use a letter Y especially if you live in the states.
