well.....first I think it’s a typo....then I wonder what gender...then I say it outloud to try and figure it out....then I think it’s boy. But then I wonder if I’m right.

I think it’s a girl’s name.
Nancy O’Dell has a daughter named Ashby, which is the only place I’ve heard of it.
I suggest it on here from time to time.
It’s not one I’d use myself, but I think it has a certain cuteness, and for me it’s much fresher than Ashley, which just reeks of the 80’s/90’s to me.
