Youll grow to love it vs. Youll probably alway just like it vs. It will eat at you forever

I have a problem. I cant find ANY names that I want to name my son. I have looked through a bunch of baby books, all the online site I can find, and I still havent found one that I love. I have a few that I like, but nothing that I love. My question is, if I cant find a name I love in the next week or two (little name is coming soon) , and end up using one of the ehh, ok names, will I grow to love it, or will it always eat at me that I didnt find the perfect name?

perhaps a name will just come to you when he’s born.. I always loved Stephen and then when my first son was born i just looked at him and thought ’oh its Ben’... you could get people to suggest names after he’s born and see if any suit him. GL

I would skate these polls and find names you like. Sometimes the names grow on you, see if you have a type of style, and ask for names in that style. But, like the first poster, sometimes you think you have the name, and then you go in a totally different direction. We had three names picked out, but none of them seemed to be "the" name, then just a couple of weeks before she was born, we just found her name, and it fit! Almost like a wedding dress- you can try on lots you like, but maybe the bow is ugly, or you don’t like the neckline, but suddenly, there it is, without rhyme or reason, and you just know!

We debated between two names that we liked and picked the one we thought was most fitting when our daughter arrived. I couldnt now picture calling her anything different than what we named her - it just fit her. I think that will happen for you also. Have a few ok ones in mind and wait til you see him to decide.

I think it will grow on you and you will come to love it. You could just be overwhelmed right now by all of the options.
