They are all too feminine. Your poor son:(

I’d use Rowan as a first name because when I hear Sidney and Morgan I automatically think girl (even though they are unisex names). Rowan I think could go either way, boy or girl, but its the most masculine.

What about Francis Morgan? or Warren Harvey?

Of your choices, I like both Rowan Francis and Morgan Harvey, but all of your names are more or less unisex, so that may be something to consider. People are going to say the names are feminine. Personally, I only find Sidney to be incredibly feminine. Rowan and Morgan are fine for either boys or girls..

I think Rowan is girl and the other 2 are unisex but lean more towards the girl side. What about Landon Warren?

No! No! And No!

Thanks for your comments but our choice is between these 3 combinations - We consider them to be strong masculine combinations and do not understand why anyone would give a girl any of these names. We really don’t understand what is so bad about using unisex names on boys (especially ones which are boys names originally...). I mean I can imagine that you would think naming a girl Elliot or Ryan (and their various mispellings) is fine... We’ll have to agree to differ!

Elliot and Ryan are great boy names. Use one of those two.

Do we really need to worry about names being "too feminine" in this day and age? Labels like that shouldn’t even exist any more. People need to find new things to worry about. I voted for Sidney, after a certain great actor.

Well said...!

I think they are all fine, strong names. I like Rowan Francis the best, but the would all work well.
I agree with you about the double-standard that many of the posters on here have. They’d step fight up and say "Oh, Ryan is darling on a girl" or something of the sort, they even horridly misspell names in an effort to ’be unique’ or ’feminize’ them (just a word to all other posters, names such as Baylee, Ryanne, etc. are not cute and unique, they are illiterate), yet when a perfectly fine, normal name is used on the gender it was intended for (Sidney, Rowan, and Morgan are all MALE names by default) they throw a hissy fit as if they are the authority deciding that the names shouldn’t be touched by their rightful gender.

Hey all you "No! No! No!"-ers, I smell hypocrisy...

I am TOTALLY a hypocrite with this subject. I would never even think of naming my son a unisex name. I want him to drip testosterone and be super manly. But, I wouldn’t bother me at all to name my daughter a unisex name. Its America, that’s how we are.

Sorry, but your post is sexist and stereotyping. Why do you want those things for your son, that sounds odd? And you are grouping everyone in America as the same; "that is how we are?"

Maybe people should educate themselves in that names are a personal thing, and we should respect each others names with out trying to genderfy them. That reduce sexism, bullying, and hopefully reduce low self-esteem among children. However this has to start with the parents first...we are supposed to be the smart ones right that don’t succumb to stereotypes.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; its why girls can wear pants and boys can wear dresses. But, to each his/her own.

It sound odd that she wants her son(s) to be all boy? Sounds quite standard to me.
