Whats vs. your vs. opinion?

I don’t understand how someone can be rude on another persons poll, like if you think they are fake then don’t bother going on there poll and if you don’t like the name be nice about it. What’s your opinion about this?

Anonymity. It drives me crazy. People say the meanest things on here. I mean actual human beings make these polls with names they like sometimes even love. Its not fair to be so rude. I’m sure the mean people have perfect names for all their kids.

If a name isn’t your particular style it doesn’t mean the name is bad. I wish people could understand that everybody has different styles. We should have to put our name, age and all our kids names to comment. Then people might be civil.

I agree, if the name is not your style simply tell the poster nicely that it is not your style. There is no reason to get mean on someone’s poll. The poster put an name on the website to get help, not to be critizied about the name.

I mean its horrible some of the things I see on this site. I’ve seen people calling someone else uneducated because the way the spell there child’s name. Me, for example, I was called white trash because I wanted to name my son Bentley. Its horrible!!!!

If a name is not your style it doesn’t matter. Your style has nothing to do with it. Just give nice answers. Which names flows best, any teasing possibilies? Logical things.

I think that sometimes a lot of people think a certain way about certain names. I don’t want to step on any toes so I won’t mention any specific names. But some names are associated with lower income levels and I would personally want that pointed out to me.

^^No offense to you, you are entitled to your opinion, but I feel your comment should relate the the question being asked of you. If someone says I love this name any good middle names, then calling them uneducated or anything like that is unnecessary, but if the question says what do you think of these names then you can say how you feel nicely. That’s just my 2 cents.

The Graceyn poll. All she asked for was middle name help and she gets told to find a better first name. Ugghhh, how rude!

The triplet poll I was talking about the girl only wanted boy and girl names, but towards the end of the comments people were getting nasty, I mean one person called another person a female dog.

We all teach our kids to have manners right? So practice what you preach. Don’t hurt somebody’s feelings just because they are different than you.

People have they right to say whatever we want to on here. If I say someones name looks uneducated I say it for a reason, and plus if people wouldn’t come up with the strangest names then no one would have to say any of that, now would they?

Honesty is the best policy. I would rather people tell me their honest opinion now before the baby is born rather than people thinking it when they meet my baby. Ya know? If I chose a name that people associated with white trash I would definitely change the name!

I mean it easy to say you would change the name but if you had your heart set on a name and then someone told you it was white trashy it would really hurt your feelings and it would be hard to let that name go.

I made a poll and people (I’d say 90%) hated the name. No reason really just personal preference. I still love the name. If they actually had something helpful, or a reasonable reason for such hatred it may have changed my mind.

If I think a poll is fake or if I don’t like the name I pass the poll. If I think that name chosen is too out there and the poor child will suffer humiliation than I do give my opinion.

It’s better to find out what people think BEFORE the baby is born than after, but people should say it the most polite way possible. And if you don’t want people’s opinions, don’t make a poll!

Honestly, when I make a poll for my child’s name, I want complete honesty, Even if it hurts my feelings. I hate when people sugar coat everything.

Like poster 8 says it depends on what the question says. If it says any good middle name for whatever name then give good middle names, if the question said what do you think if this name then be honest what you think of the name but nicely.

Rude or not, I want to know what people REALLY think. Friends and family tend to lie and "sugar coat" how they feel about names. That is why this website is here, isn’t it?

True but somethings people say is really unnecessary. If they say it sounds like a lower class name that’s one thing, but to sit there and say its a horrible name, your child would be embarrassed to have it, it would make you like really stupid and uneducated, be nice about so people may have thought of a name thought it was really good, proud of themselves, and then to be put down like that, I just don’t like how some people act on here thats all I’m saying.

You totally can! You don’t actually lie flat, you put your leg up so it lifts your stomach off the bed. I prop a pillow under my belly, hips, thighs. Its doctor approved too!
