Emelie Claire vs. Emilie Claire

Which spelling do you prefer? We axed Amelie because we don’t like the nickname Amy, but someone suggested combining the two to get Emelie. We’re not sure what we think of this; your opinions would be really helpful! Thanks, Angela & David

I don’t think Amelie would end up being called Amy.... unless you’re just set on having a nickname, I would keep Amelie! It’s prettier than Emelie/Emilie..

We’re not going to use the name Amelie. We have decide that. We don’t like Amy, we don’t like Amelia, and we do like Em, Emmy, and Emily, so we’re definitely going with Emilie or Emelie.

I don’t need to hear that the name I like for my daughter isn’t as pretty as another name. That’s really not helpful.
