I have a very large, close knit family and one of my 18 cousins recently named her daughter Ariel. I’ve loved the name Alice since I was a little girl but Im afraid that would be too dinsey themed. what do you all think? Am i being paranoid?

paranoid...just because Disney used it, doesn’t mean it owns it, go for it, I thought at first you were going to say "they are too close"...I would never have made the connection

yes, paranoid :)))) Alice is lovely. And the story of Alice in Wonderland certainly was not written by Disney, if that helps. (Neither was Little Mermaid :-))

YES, of course you can use Alice! Anyone who says you can’t is ridiculous. I mean, one of your 18 cousins? If it was your sister, and there was also an Aurora and a Belle, I’d say no. But don’t worry about it!

I say go for it. Alice is a beautiful, timeless name; and it honestly took me a while to realise about the Disney connection. Don’t worry!
Love Alice! I wouldn’t worry about the Disney thing... I doubt anyone outside the immediate family will even realize the connection.
