Nathan is a nice solid name and the nn Nate is cute but it feels a bit boring. Callum I love. It’s got a nice fresh upbeat feel.

I love both equally! its hard because I love the nick names Cal and Nate as well.

Nathan is much more of a strong, classic but age-able name, with or without using the nickname Nate as a previous commenter suggested. I feel that Callum would work well as a young adult or teenager, but just can’t see it on a toddler, child, or even an adult or elder! As much as I appreciate the uniqueness and vary from the trendy that is Callum, I can’t make myself love it as a fully ageable name more than Nathan.

I’m from England, and the name Callum is quiet popular, more so with the 25’s and under. Nathan is a classic strong name, but I feel as though I know a lot of them. But with more younger Callums, maybe Nathan would be a better option.
