Breckin Hope vs. Breckin Claire vs. Breckin Grace

Breckin means "Bridge" in German and we’re both full-blooded German. Well aware the name is different. We love Hope as a middle name and like the other two as well. She’s due Thanksgiving day.

I think Breckin is really masculine. I don’t think it would be a nice name for a little girl or woman. It’s really handsome for a boy though...

I’ve only ever heard Breckin on a boy. I agree with the previous poster about it sounding very masculine. There are many German names with good meanings, "Bridge" isn’t exactly one of them. Here are some suggestions of other German names:

Adelaide - noble, serene
Delana - noble protector
Derika - ruler of the people
Elsa - noble
Isolina - powerful warrior
Klarissa - clear, bright
Lorelei - alluring
Matilda - powerful battler
Relinda - kind-hearted princess
Rosilda - horse-riding warrior
Verena - protected friend
Velma/Willa/Wilhelmina - determined guardian
Winifred - friend of peace
Griselda/Zelda - gray warrior

I like Breckin, but think it is a little too harsh with a one syllable middle name. I think Breckin Elise, or Breckin Ava- Grace would soften the name and more flow.

Use Bridget. It’s German and means "strength". Much more feminine. Breckin is a handsome name for a boy.
Bridget Hope is perfect.
