Amelia vs. Amelia vs. ???
Amelia. This name is driving me nuts. I like it I love the look, spelling. But I am not nuts about how you say it (Uh-meal-yuh) I am not nuts about any of the nicknames especially Mia. I know its pretty it ages well, classic ext. I am not sure if it fits my style though. We are a sports family. Amelia will be cheering in the stands for siblings and maybe be in sports herself. Whatever person she is I just want her name to fit with our family. Do you like the name Amelia?

Amelia is an ok name. I like it but dont love it. Are you looking for other suggestions? If you are I love the name Camilla nn Cami. I think it is classic and ages well but is still spunky with the nn Cami

I think it’s okay.. I like the pn of Amelie (Ah-mel-ee)a little better. but I do like the nn Amy for Amelia or you could use Leah as a nn

I found out that Amelia is a medical term that means to be born without a limb.... I just don’t like it as much now!

Ok. I do like Amelia. I think Leah is a wonderful nn. Also, I knew a wonderful woman named Emilia and she went by Emi for short. Hope that Helps n Good Luck :)

i do quite like it, i don’t what you mean about the pronunciation, not as attractive as the name looks when written down. i wouldn’t use it personally, because it’s very popular where i live. i’m not sure i can see Amelia on a sporty girl, but you don’t know that she is going to be, just because you might be or your other kids, it doesn’t mean that she’s going to be the same, she might end up being academic and nerdy!
