Ian James vs. Jacob Martin
Help! I’m having trouble finding a boy’s name that goes with our two syllable last name (begins and ends with "S" and has strong "E" sound). We have a 2-year old daughter named Eleanor Gwen that mostly goes by Ella. Do you like either of these? I like the sound of "Ella and Jake", but Jacob is so popular right now... THANKS!!

for some reason my comment didn’t display... but I was trying to say that I love Ian James, but am biased because my son’s name is Ian. Jacob is a cute name, but absurdly popular. I think it has been the number one boy name for a while now... so you will run into them every 10 seconds. If popularity doesn’t bother you, there is nothing wrong with Jacob. I just personally love the name Ian and think Ian James is very sweet :)
