Ayers and Travers vs. Okay for Twins vs. No Good for Twins
We are having twin boys, which we are very excited about! We like somewhat unusual names, but nothing made-up or trendy. We like the names Ayers and Travers, but do you think they are too close for twins? If so, can you give us some other suggestions of names in this style? Thanks!

to be honest, I’m not a big fan of either name. They both sound like surnames

Stupid question...how do you pronounce Ayers? Eye-ers? Ay-ers? Something completely different? I don’t mind Travers that much, although it’s not my style. They don’t seem to be TOO similar, in my opinion, either. However, here are some other suggestions:
Archer & Walker
Bowman & Carter
Carver & Dexter
Draper & Fletcher
Foster & Garner
Gunner & Hunter
Jagger & Kingman
Miller & Patton
Ranger & Sadler
Shepard & Thatcher
like any? more suggestions?

Pronounced AY-ers. I mean, they could possibly also be surnames - but a lot of names were at one time or still are surnames - Hudson, Taylor, Jackson, Tyler, Benton, Madison, Mackenzie . . . a lot of names. Thanks for your opinion :)
2nd poster, out of your suggestions, we like:
Bowman, Garner, Gunnar, Patton and Shepard, Thanks!

I think that because "ers" is such a unique name ending, they do sound a little too close. I think either name would be good on its own and then go with one of the other names you like for the second little boy. Some other ideas:
Ayers/Travers and Oliver
Ayers/Travers and Dane
Ayers/Travers and Harrison
Ayers/Travers and Oliver
Ayers/Travers and Dane
Ayers/Travers and Harrison
