Grayer vs. yes vs. no

My husband and I are expecting a baby boy in December. The other day my girlfriend and I saw the movie "The Nanny Diaries" and fell in love with the little boy’s name (Grayer). We are considering it. What do people think? Thanks! ~Tori

I really like it...unique but not strange. I guess it all depends on how it flows with your last name.

I prefer the simple Grey. Greyer sounds so... depressing. Like how you’d describe a rainy, boring day. In the Nanny Diaries (read the book, didn’t see the flick) the name strikes me as pretensious, and I’m fairly sure the author intended the kids names to be pretensious. Grey, Sterling or Pierce feel very similar to Greyer without being as silly sounding (or as depressing). And Grey works doubletime as a color name (those color names are HOT right now).

Hope that helps!

I fell in love with the name Grayer for the same reason (I also like Grover for that reason).
I don’t think I would actually use it, but it is a nice name.
