Amy vs. Lucy vs. Molly

Looking for the perfect girls name. We want something that isn’t super popular but also is fairly conservative. What do you think of the following names - do you think they would work will with a baby and an adult? Any middle name suggestions? Our last name is Ludwig. Thanks, KK.

The Top Baby Name is...

Amy 32% (9 votes)
Lucy 36% (10 votes)

I like all 3 but Molly is my favorite, and yes, I think they’re all good adult names. I’ve never quite understood what people meant by that though - " a name that they can grow into". When you’re an adult, you’re an adult, your name doesn’t undermine that in any way. A "Candy" can be just as mature as an "Elizabeth". People, in general, give names way too much power.

I also adore all three names and voted for Molly. They are all little dear names & I know very intelligent adults with all three names.
Molly Christine
Molly Elaine
Molly Jane
Molly Diane
Molly Isobel
Molly Amelia

Lucy got my vote. Timelessly elegant. Molly sounds childish and Amy feels dated (I know a ton of 30 something Amys).
Lucy Elisabeth
Lucy Clementine
Luvy Emmeline
Lucy Vivienne
Lucy Anneliese
Lucy Francesca
Lucy Rosalie
Lucy Catherine
Lucy Katherine
Lucy June
Lucy Therese
Lucy Valentine

are a few combos that come to mind right away.
Hope that helps!

Molly is a sweet, classic name. I named my daughter Maggie and I thought Molly would be another name that would go nicely with it.

I think Amy Elizabeth is a pretty name. I think it flows much better with your last name than the others. All are darling names though. Good luck!

All three are wonderful names for a little girl. Have you ever thought of the name Ruthie?
Good Luck!
