Pros and Cons vs. for both vs. names?
Lila VS. Kate
Debating on these two names. Kate’s official name would be "Katherine" but she would always go by Kate.
Instead of asking your favorite, Id like to know that too, I want to know what you see as the pros and cons of each name. THANKS!!

I think Katherine or Kate is classier. Lila is cute and spunky. I would stick with Kate.

Lila is okay, but it’s a nickname by itself. Katherine, nn Kate, has the advantage of having a nickname for a more formal full name. This is good because as she grows older, will have the option to go by one of Katherine’s numerous other nicknames. If you name her Lila, she’ll only ever be able to go by that.

Katherine nn Kate is classic and timeless while Lila is lovely but very much on the bandwagon trendy double l names du jour. Lily/Lila/Lola/Layla/Lillian etc. so too many out there already!

Kate/Katherine is my favorite although Lila Katherine is pretty too.
Kate-very pretty
although pretty common
has a more formal name and nn possibilities
only teasing I can think of is Kate couldn’t get a date...
Lila-also pretty
less common
has the sound Lie in it...sorry im no help, but both are pretty names!

-Underused
-Easy to pronounce
Lila Cons
-May get called a liar "Li yuh"...?
-No nickname
-Trendy (this may or may not be a con for you)
