Middle name vs. for vs. Leah?

I like Leah Marie but my bf’s daughter from a previous relationship’s mn is Marie, he doesn’t want it to be the same, even though it would be nice for my daughter to have my mn as well?

I think it is fine, but that there are prettier names with Marie. You could also do a form of Marie, Like Leah Marielle, or Leah Maren.....
