I like both (though I don’t like Timothy as a middle) but I would probably pick Gavin. My nephew is Greyson and they always call him "Grey" and it just naturally gets shortened to that so I think it depends if you like the sound of that or not. Gavin you don’t really shorten. To me Grayson is more Southern/Country and Gavin is more rock-n-roll...hope that helps!

I actually like Grayson Timothy. I know a Gavin and I associate the name with him, not fair, but thats how I feel. I don\’t think Grayson will be shortened, Jonathan hasn\’t been shortened. Also think Grayson is a strong (in a good way). name

My husband posted those last 2 comments because he wants the name Gavin, while I want the name Grayson.

Jonathan was always called Jonathan, we never called him anything but that. Keep in mind growing up no matter what your name is kids will always find a way to find some way of making something silly out of it. Just saying

I like Grayson. It’s becoming more popular. If you are okay with a popular name I would go with that one.

Greyson? You’re gonna name the kid Greyson? Greyson is a fat kid with glasses who eats paste. You’re not gonna name the kid Greyson. You gotta give him a real name. Give him a name. Like Gavin. Gavin’s a real name. Gavin’s your buddy. Gavin’s the kind of guy you can trust, the kind of guy you can drink a beer with, the kind of guy who doesn’t mind if you puke in his car, GAVIN!

Grayson has been on the table for so long that he is Grayson to me. I also like having his middle name as Mark because it means alot to Tim.
