Saoirse and Siobhan vs. Aoife and Aine

I am expecting twin girls in May. Both my family and my husband’s family are Irish, so we’ve decided to give them traditional Celtic names. Saoirse is pronounced "Seer-sha"/ Siobhan is pronounced "Sha-von"/ Aoife is pronounced "E-fa"/ Aine is prnounced "An-ya"

I really like Aiofe and Aine, but I think they are too similar sounding to one another. Saoirse and Siobhan have more contrast and get my vote. All names are pretty though.

I like Siobhan and Aine together. I know that wasn’t what you asked, but I love that they are the same in style but start and end with different sounds. I think they compliment each other well. I also think they may be the more commonly of each pair as far as ease of pronunciation.

I agree with the above poster, Siobhan and Aine are what I would go with. I absolutely adore all of the names, but I would worry about people not being able to spell/pronounce them correctly.
