I’ve seen this spelled sooo many ways!! Lainy, Laney, Lainee... I honestly don’t know what the best it.
Laney would be short for Delaney - so I feel like that one is the most "correct".
Laynie and Lainee look horrible, imo.
Lainey looks like a little too many letters...

My daughter is Elaina nn Lainey. We couldn’t decide which spelling either until I picked up a baby name book.
Laney means crooked tree. Lainey means shining light. Since she is OUR shining light, we chose to spell it with an i.
