I see your point in wanting to honor her heritage and name and have her mn be Africa, but at the same time, it’s kinda corny. No offense. Thats like a girl named Emily Scotland and Ava Australia........I love the Africa names another poster suggested. I would look into some more names. Check out babynamesworld

I’d choose an African name in lieu of the word "africa." It’s not pretty and not in good taste...sorry. My husband was adopted from Colombia as a baby. If his parents had named him Alexander Colombia, I’d have a major issue with them. It just seems ridiculous!

You could honor her heritage by teaching her about it and celebrating traditional holidays. One’s heritage is not solely wrapped up in his/her name. It’s about their culture.

I agree with pp that Africa is a little too much and particularly because it isn\’t specific enough. I think it needs to be more precise to where she is from and still turn it into a name as opposed to a straight place! Use the African meaning of something such as loved one or beautiful as her muddle name instead! I don\’t know much about adoption but if you want to honour her heritage then maybe it could be a twist on her biological mothers name and have her first name related to your family! But then that might be too personal!

I love Kira Africa out of your choices and also the African names which you could just use for her middle name!
