Need vs. Advice vs. On Name
My husband and I looked through baby name books for hours and the only name he really liked was Lila. The problem is I have a stepcousin named Layla. We only see them at Christmas time. So would it be a bad idea? Are they just too close? My husband is really for this name and I love it as well. Any thoughts? Thanks Sam and Daniel.

Its fine, you only see her once a year, its a different name, and they are no where close in age.

They are two completely different names. They aren’t even a variation of the same name. You are fine. We have family that have the same name (by marriage)! You’re fine. :)
Go for it! Plus, it’s different spelling so you have nothing to worry about.
