And I thought vs. picking our 1 girl name was hard!

We had some polls a few weeks ago to help us determine our girls name which were very helpful. Well, we went in for an appt yesterday and we we thrilled to learn we’re having twins! We’re set on boys names, but we will need help naming twin #2 if they are g/g. We are still keeping Kaethe (pn Kate-ha) for the first twin. A list of names we like are in the first comment, please help!

Kaethe is stupid.
No-one will know how to pronounce it or spell it.
She will be spelling out her name for the rest of her life.

we don’t really care if you think it’s stupid. It’s a german name that has special meaning to us. People will learn to spell and pronounce her name just fine.

Congrats on TWINS. I have twins, naming them was not easy. I did not go with any rhyming names. How do you pronoun Kaethe? Just remember that you will need to choose something that makes you happy, but also a name that your children can be happy to have.

Kaethe is pn Kate-ha. It’s my husband’s grandmothers name and also his godmother’s name.

Kaetha Louise and Anja Rose (pn Anya)

I would suggest picking another distinctly German name for the sister. I think this set would sound great. GL!

thank you for the suggestions

I really like Anja, Adelaide, Matilda and Greta! Can’t use Elisabeth because that’s my name and can’t use Amalia because that’s our first daughter’s name. so I guess it’s a good suggestion we stick to tradional german names since we all have them. Thanks!
