Madelyn vs. Madeline vs. Magdalene

Hello everyone! I’m expecting a girl and am having a conflict. I hate the nn Maddie and do not plan on calling her that first off if she decides to later than thats her decision. My favorite of the two Mad names is Madeline. It sounds, older, more proffesional and I love it! While Madelyn is adorable I don’t think it’s beauty matches Madeline’s old classy feel. Lastly Magdalene (Mag-duh-lynn) Mary Magdalene is a great Biblical woman. I love the nn Maggie/Mags, it’s different, everyone knows how to spell it and it ages well. I don’t care for Magdalena. Please offer all advice, thanks Courtney

I love Madeline. It’s classy, pretty, but not too much. GL!

Definitely Magdalene. It’s a beautiful, unique name with an adorable nn. Plus its youngest bet since you don’t like the nn Maddie

That should have been best bet, not youngest bet. Darn autocomplete on this keyboard LOL

I agree that I like nn Maggie better than Maddie. If you are looking for another full name for Maggie then you could use Magnolia or Margaret. I like Magnolia, it’s cute and different, while the nn is recognizable, and it kind of follows the flower trend going on. GL!
