Please vs. Help!

Hi I did a poll last night about helping us pick out a name for our fourth (and final) baby and it ended up a three way tie! So I’m going to try again. Our choices are Dakota Patrick, Rowen Timothy, or Tucker Dale. Please remember the middle names are family names so they’re staying. If you have suggestions please let us know! Siblings are Wyatt Craig (9), Cheyenne Nichole (8), and Rustin Keith (4). Thanks! Jen and Ethan

Dakota is too cheesy and Tucker sounds like a brand name, so my vote goes to Rowen. I love the middle names though!

Rowen Patrick- or maybe Patrick Dakota.
Hope that helped!!

I really like Rowen. I understand you don’t want to change the middle names but are you happy to swap them round a bit? If so I think Rowen Dale flows really well. GL

I don’t care for Tucker or Dakota... and Rowen, although a unisex name, is becoming more and more popular for girls.

What about Ronan or Roman? I really like either Ronan Patrick or Ronan Dale. or Roman Patrick or Roman Dale.

I think Dakota Patrick sounds the best. I don’t think this name is cheesy at all. I like it alot!

I think Dakota & Rowen as girl names. So my vote is for Tucker. I don’t care for the name Dale though. What about Tucker Patrick

Tough choice. Rowen goes best I think, but how do you feel about having two "R" names in the family? I would go with Rowen Patrick instead of Rowen Timothy. Dakota is a close second.

Tucker fits best with your other kids names. Definately Tucker Dale.

Wow thanks for all the help! Swapping middle names around is fine. I didn’t realize until just now that Rowen and Rustin are pretty close. Are they too close? And I know Dakota and Rowen are unisex but are they more girly than boyish? Thanks! Jen and Ethan

I really like Dakota Patrick.

I wouldn’t use Dakota since you already have a Cheyenne. I don’t think Rowen is feminine at all! Rowen is nice, but it is close to Rustin. Tucker is nice, but not my favorite. Wdyt of Dale Patrick?

If you’re brave enough to use Tucker (there is the rhymes with issue), it’s a great name, and the best choice.

Rowen is much too close to Rustin, and more importantly, it’s a totally different style.

Dakota when you already have a Cheyenne is totally cheesy-sorry.

I’d suggest some other names with a western feel:

Zane
Cord
Colt/Colton/Cole
Gage
Griffin

I like Rowen Patrick. I don’t care for the others. If your worried about similarities between Rowan and Rustin how about Bowen Patrick or Patrick Rowen?

What about Nolan or Waylon?

I can\’t say I like any of them. Dakota is too girly for me, Rowen is becoming girly too, Tucker rhymes with... so he may get called that in HS. I do like all the middle names though. I like the suggestion of Nolan. Nolan Patrick?

Tucker is also a name used to refer to transexuals, because they tuck their genitals. Way too much teasing potential with this name.

None are too girly. However Dakota is a bit too cheesy with Cheyenne and Tucker I just don’t like. I’ve never considered what it can rhyme with, but I just can’t see it aging well anyway. Rowen might be close to Rustin, but it’s not too close. It’s not like you’re naming this one Dustin. Dustin and Rustin would for sure be too close. Rowen Patrick sounds nice.

I think of Dakota as a girls name, due to Dakota Fanning. I would go with Rowan. Tucker just isn’t that appealing to me. GL!
