Caitlin Elizabeth vs. Lucy Caitlin vs. Lucy Katherine

I have always loved the name Kate/Katie. When I was a little girl, I always wanted to name my daughter that someday. Then I grew up and realized how many Katies are in the world! Does Caitlin/Kaitlin sound dated?

I personally think that there are WAYYY too many Kaitlyn’s in the world, and its a very plain name. I think Kate however (while popular) is a very classic name and fits any age. Personally I could go with Kate. My second pick would be for Lucy Kate.

So cute and sophisticated! yet there are still possibilities for nicknames if desired...Cate, Catie, Lin/Lyn, Cat

there are a lot of Katies but not a lot of Kates, Kate is less common than Caitlin, i wouldn’t say Caitlin is dated at all, Katelyn might be a better spelling if you want the nn Kate, and its not as common, Lucy is as popular as Katie
