I think Sophie is perfectly fine as a name on its own and see no point of naming her Sophia just to call her Sophie.

I think if you name her Sophia it gives you the option. Plus to me, Sophie just doesn’t seem complete. That’s just my opinion though.

My youngest child is Sophie and we considered Sophia but it seems pointless naming your child something that you will never use. Her name is Sophie Natalia

Sophie sounds French, lovely... but then if that’s her name, maybe people will start nicknaming her just Soph or something, haha, sth to think about, right?

I would just name her Sophie...what you are going to call her. When she is an adult it will be less confusing if she goes by her legal name.
