Colbie vs. for a girl???

How do you feel about Colbie on a girl? I have always heard it as a boys name, and then heard it on a little girl the other day and thought it was just adorable! I havent ran it by my husband yet, but hoping to get some good feesback

The first thing that comes to mind is colby jack cheese, then a guy I went to high school with named Colby.

I can see it on a girl, but I think it fits boy’s better.

I think it’s cute, I like it much, much better for a boy than a girl. It makes me think of the singer Colby Caillat

eh.. it sounds a little harsh, which seems manly/masculine to me.

What about Colie? (Cole-ee) I don’t think it sounds as harsh.

Colbie does sound a bit too masculine. My BF’s daughter is Cobie (after the actress on How I Met Your Mother).... Just a suggestion.

I like Cobie a lot! Not sure I like that spelling. Maybe Kobie/Koby/Kobee Thank you!!!

I like how people are fine with other boys names on girls like Ryan and Elliot and James... but Colbie isn’t okay. Haha nice.
I first heard Colby on a girl, and I think its cute. But yes, it is a boys name.

My 3 year old daughter is Colbie and I am glad we went with that name. It fits her, it’s cute and I think with the spelling it is very girly!

I know this is an old post but my husband’s name is Kelly so why can’t a girl’s name be Colbie?

Wow!! I know this post is really old but my name is Colbie. I don't see it just being for a boy any name now a days can be for both boy or girl I love my name.
