Quinneth vs. ?

Hi, my husband and I are expecting our first child, a girl. We’ve had a bit of trouble coming up with the a name we both love. Just as I was beginning to settle for Skye, my husband suggested Quinneth (a mix of Quinn and Gwyneth). I’m really not keen on using it. I’d like to get some suggestions of names that are similar that I could maybe suggest to him instead. Thanks!

Quinneth is a terrible mismash of names. If you don’t like it then veto it for consideration!!!! What’s the matter with Quinn and Gwyneth anyway? Did you ask him why he wanted to ruin two good names? I can suggest Meredith, Brynn, Arden/Ardith, Blythe, Sloane, Bridget, Elspeth, Madigan, Gwendolyn, Glynnis, Bronwen, Jocelyn, and Guinevere. Good luck!

Are you sure he’s not just suggesting it because he wants you to agree to Skye and if the other option is ridiculous you’ll think Skye is beautiful? That’s what my sister-in-law did to get my husband to agree to Sophie-Lynn.

haha, pp, I never thought of that. I don’t think he’d try to sway my vote like that though. I really don’t like Quinn or Gwyneth, so Quinneth was just terrible to me. Of the suggestions, I like Bridget, but I don’t think my husband will go for it. It’s too common. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!

I love the name Quinn, but Quinneth...not so much. I love Skye as well. You could do Gwyneth Skye.
