Personally I love Tamar, i you didnt like that i would suggest tamara as it is close but still different to tamar. Heaps of cute nn for this eg, tam, tammy, mar, mara
Second choice would be Amaliah and if you werent to comfortable with the speeling you could change ehr name to Amalia or even call her Amelia
