Kayla Nicole vs. Kayla Nicola vs. Kayla Nicolette
Okay, so I love the name Kayla, but I was thinking an alternate spelling would be nice. Also, My father’s name is Nicholas, so I want some female form of the name, but I don’t know which one sounds best. What do you think?

I love the name Kayla ... but Nicola it out because Kayla and Nicola both have la at the end. I like Kayla Nicole ... Nicolette sounds like a drug or medicine or disease.

~Nicole IS a feminine form of Nicholas, so no problem there.
~Like pp Olivia said, the -la -la is too much with Nicola. And Nicolette sounds better as a fn compared to a mn.
Now:
I may be jaded, but I prefer Nicole since it seems I spent my whole life correcting the spelling of my name. I was the only Nicole around back in the day--and I have the misspelled xmas ornaments to prove it!
