We are adopting our 5th and 6th children from Russia! They are a boy and a girl and are siblings ages 5 & 6. Our other adopted children are Marisol, Mei Lin, Levi, and Eliana. We will post our list of favorite names in the first comment, thanks!

We agree, their current names are beautiful, but we will be changing their names for many reasons. One is so that they get the experience of their parents naming them and they get to feel like a family. We have changed our other children’s names and we have communicated with Aleksandra & Malachi and they agree that they would like their names to be changed.

Madeline and Zane.

I don’t think you have to change their names. They are five and six, they are not babies. They are used to their names and will have trouble getting used to their "new" names. They are already changing homes and changing families. Why makes them their change names? I think their names are beautiful.

Congrats! Unless their names are unflattering, I would keep them. They are quite old to just change their names like that! I love Madeleine and Lucas. GL!

They are Aleksandra and Malachi. They have been Aleksandra and Malachi for 5-6 years. Why make them change that just so they can be included in your family? To them, they will always be Aleksandra and Malachi. They are not babies where they will forget their names.

i like Samuel Malachi and Vanessa Aleksandra..i think that changing their names is not a problem...people change their and their kids names all the time and they will get used to it..if all of you other kids had their names changed then they might feel left out of the family if theirs is not..and your other kids ajusted well to a name change didn’t they...i think its your children and your decision...either way...their still your kids. :) GL
