Different. I like that it isn’t an overused name but it also doesn’t sound made-up or too masculine. It is a bit harsh and I prefer Lilith or Athena/Athene but Ardith isn’t bad. I do think you should both LOVE whatever name you choose though.

I think Ardith would be confused with Edith, and unfortunately, I think it is one of the "old lady" names that is just not cute or ready for a revivial! Arden and Afton are pretty, Meredith is also lovely, and even Agnes, Astrid, Astoria, or Agatha are prettier.

Thank you all for your honest opinions! Poster 1 I agree that we both should love the name. I never even thought of Ardith being confuzed with Edith, and I never thought it sounded "old lady" so it is good to hear these things!
Poster 2, we both like Astoria, it’s so pretty!
Posters 4 and 5, we are not fond of any of your name choices, but thanks for offering. We have a lot to discuss. Thanks again guys!
