How much vs. does the meaning vs. of a name matter???

I noticed a poll for Amelia today, and someone mentioned it was a medical term for being born without a limb, and I looked it up, and it was! I found a blog about names with " bad meanings", some were funny like Kennedy ( deformed head), or Cameron ( crooked nose). Others were a little more serious, like Mallory, which means bad faith. I definitely looked at meanings when I named my children, but I am just curious, how much emphasis do you put on the meaning of the name? Would you choose a name with a "bad meaning?"

Dear Genie, I need you to help me find a Greek name for a girl. I've already used Theodore and Sebastian for her siblings. But every other Greek girl's name I see is either too pretentious, hard to pronounce, or just too popular now. The only name I can picture using is Caroline, but it's not Greek!
Baby Name Genie:
The Greeks would name her Charissa Zoe. Then, they would stuff her in a wooden horse and give her to the Trojans. So, my advice would be to borrow the name but not the rest of their tactics.
