Mabel vs. Lois

We are thinking of naming our little girl Mabel or Lois, we are also looking for an old fashioned but not too common middle name. We would love to know your thoughts about these names and any mn ideas.

I prefer Mabel. Lois makes me think of Family Guy and Superman.

How about Mabel Bernadette, Mabel Louise, Mabel Juliette, Mabel Rebecca, Mabel Genevieve, Mabel Victoria, Mabel Gwendolyn, Mabel Cynthia, Mabel Virginia, Mabel Joanna or Mabel June?

Note: the idea for Mabel Bernadette came from Mack and Mabel because the original actress to play Mabel was Bernadette Peters.

I don’t care for either of them on a little girl. I would use one of them as the middle name. Megan Lois is cute!!

We are also considering Lois (it is my Grammy’s name), but we just aren’t getting any positive feedback aside from my Grammy and one cousin! Everyone else either has no response or hates it. I think it is a lovely name, but I’m afraid its time has not yet come.

Mabel is very pretty and I think more people will be receptive to it. Good luck!
