Wow thanks. I really like that too but I’ve told my parents and co-workers that we like Tristan and we have
been told a few times that he "might get beat up" because it’s not manly enough?

It’s definately manly enough. I like it alot.

Tristan Alexander is awesome! Tristan Nicolas is nice also. I’ve never really liked Daniel, no clue why. "shrugh" Good luck! =)

I like Tristan. Did you ever read any of the books about the vet in England. I’m sorry I can’t remember what they were called or the name of the vet, but his partner’s name was Tristan.

Tristan Alexander is a gorgeous choice and easily got my vote. I like Tristan Nicolas too, but the TristaN Nicolas ending/beginning gives me pause. So Tristan Alexander wins, hands down.

If you find Alexander a bit not to your liking, here’s a few more suggestions:

Tristan William
Tristan Frederick
Tristan George
Tristan Henry
Tristan Philip
Tristan Matthew
Tristan James (even if James is a bit filler these days)
Tristan Xavier
Tristan Arthur (for that double mythological feel)
Tristan Victor
Tristan David
Tristan Barnaby
Tristan Robert

What a snotty thing for them to say! Tristan is a very masculine name! Good rule of thumb ... don’t discuss what you’re thinking of naming the baby because no matter what the name is, you will get some ngative feedback. You can’t please everyone.

I guess I’m snotty.....names like Tristan, Avery, Sebastion, don’t come across as all that manly to me either......I think it may be that I’m from the south and from open country where men do fencing, baling hay, etc....hard manual work and I just can’t picture a Tristan out there sweating with the rest of them. I think we use the more classic names......and I don’t mean Bubba! I know Donald nn Don, Chad, Roy, Jeff, Phillip, Charles nn Chuck; Douglas, Barton, Christopher nn Chris; etc.

But if you love Tristan and it works for you and your area (but from your parents’ reaction, I’m not sure it does) ..... then Tristan Alexander flows best.

I’m from the South and LOVE the name Tristan. Sounds very masculine to me. The man makes the man ... not the name.

It’s YOUR child, not your parents or coworkers.

I agree with pp, besides, Tristan Alexander is very handsome!
