Bummed out mom vs. Needs boys names

All this time I thought we were having a girl so I had her name picked out and was mentally ready to have a girl. Yesterday my doctor drops a bomb shell and says it’s a boy. I haven’t even thought about boys names. I am just so depressed that I won’t get my little girl that I don’t even wanna think of names. Any suggestions you have I will take

You’re having a baby! You should be grateful as it is, not whining because it’s not the gender you wanted. Stop being so selfish.

Daughter’s name was supposed to be Brooklyn Wynter

Once you see his gorgeous, angelic little face you won’t feel sad at all anymore. All thoughts of dolls’ houses and princess costumes will vanish and your head will be filled with glorious images of your little boy riding his toy dumper truck, his toy train set, his dinosaur toys... and the wonderful people here will help you pick an amazing name for him! Don’t feel sad about not getting your daughter this time, your son will make you feel such love when he’s born, you’ll be shocked that you ever felt this way at all!

You can still use the name Brooklyn! I actually think it’s more of a boys name anyway.

Brooklyn Ryder maybe? Wdyt?

Yeah, I think of Brooklyn as a boy’s name because of the Beckhams. But the poster probably doesn’t like it.

I understand feeling sad that you’re having a boy and not a girl, but honestly, you need to get over it. He’s what you’ve got and he’s coming whether you like it or not.

Now about names...Maybe something similar to the girl’s name you picked out will work: Wyatt Brooks?

However, if you plan on having more children and using Brooklyn Wynter for a girl, I’d choose a completely different name.

What kinds of names do you like? Trendy, Modern, Teen-Momish, Traditional, Old-fashioned...Help us help you!

I had a friend who was suppose to have a boy, and everyone was so excited to meet Owen. Well, the poor little one had so many health problems. Right before "he" was born the docs said, he might be a she. Sure enough, we got a Brylee instead of an Owen. And I was so in love with the name my friend had picked out for him! I haven’t met her yet because she’s in the NICU, but I love her so much. Just thought I’d share that with you so you’d know you aren’t alone. Bentley is a nice name, but it might not be very unique like you mentioned you wanted. Before you decided completely, may I suggest Jasper, Sebastian or Carson? Both are trendy and unique. I’m not really sure if they qualify for "teen-mom" status or not.

Sorry, I added a third name and forgot to change "both" to "they are all." (also I have not had a friend)
