Middle names vs. for Song

My husband and I have decided to name our second child Song. We need boy and girl middle names because we are unsure on the gender. Song will be joining brother Riley Luca(3). By the way, we know Song is a very unusual name, but it does have a very good meaning to us.

Ok, I have to say, I get that Song has meaning to you. That’s great. However, is a boy named Song going to care that it has meaning to you? What about how he feels being named Song? Names cease to become about us and are all about the person with the name. I don’t think it is a good name at all, and it definitely doesn’t go with Riley. If you are stuck on a song theme, there are other more normal names that would work, such as Lyric, Cadence, Harmony for girls and I don’t know...something like Octave for a boy (although I’m not sure that’s much better). I really do hope you can find a name that you both will love and that your child will love as well. I don’t think Song is it.

song might be a great name in asia, but not in english- speaking countries ...
keep looking and you’ll find a great name connected to music ...

If it’s a girl Carmen would be beautiful and it means song. For a boy I have no idea but the "name" song would be horrendous on a boy.
