Too Similar? vs. Or not?

We have five older children and were quite shocked to find out we had spontaneously conceived G/G/G triplets. Masin Robert is 8, Kyleigh Grace is 7, Lillie Elizabeth is 5, Dillon Jospeh is 3, and Riyan Christopher is 16 months. We had picked out the names Erynn, Emmah, and Ellan (Ella-en). My MIL said they are way too similiar. We really like unique spellings of names and had thought it made them different enough, and also, didn’t think they sounded to much alike. But, here we are turning for your help!!! Thanks!!~ Becky & Mark

I’m sorry, but I think that they’re a tad bit too similar. Seeing as they are already triplets, you’re going to have such a hard time keeping track of whose who without them having such similar names. May I suggest using Erynn, Emmah, and Ellan as middle names? Or using Some as first names and some as middle names. You’ll be grateful later on when you don’t keep getting tongue tied as you try and yell at all 3 of them, trust me on that one! I’m a twin with twin older brothers only 13 months older than me. We are Declan, Devin, Taryn, and Carolyn (I’m not kidding). My mom was always getting our names mixed up.

I agree but mom got confused just with me and my sister: Erin and Emily. I really like those 3 but you might wanna try Emilee instead of Emmah.

I agree. My mom used to mix up me and my sister- Kristen and Kate. You names are just a little bit too similar.

my mom messed up all our names and we do not have similar intials or sounding names. she would just go through the whole list until she got to you. i would use the 3 E names.

These spellings just look uneducated. They are not all that original and will just cause issues for your children.

I think they are way to similar. I would do totally different names not all E’s. I also don’t care for the unusual spellings.
