Gestational vs. Diabetes vs. ??????
Does anyone have or did anyone have gestational diabetes? I got my 1 hour glucose screen back and my glucose was elevated...I have to have a 3 hour test now. Anyone else experience this? If you failed your 1 hour did you pass your 3 hour? Let me know! Thanks

I had the same thing with my first pregnancy. I failed the 1 hour and passed the three hour. (sorry you have to do that I know that getting your blood drawn is not fun.) Even if you do have it, it’s easily controlled with diet as far as I know. gl

I have it now w/ my 3rd pregnancy, never with my first two. I was completely scared about it until I started testing my sugars and found that mine is easily controlled w/ diet. True, it is not as easy to control for some people, but even if you do find out you have it, it can be controlled. I’m 38 weeks and still measuring just fine, not gaining too much weight and have excellent blood sugar status. You get special care when you get that diagnosis, but then it can assure you things are well.

With my last pregnancy (my second) I tested high the first time so they did another test and I was fine. We thought maybe it was because all I had eaten prior to the first test was a huge plate of fruit (I go nuts about fruit when I’m pregnant :)) I ended up fine, but decided to watch my diet more closely, just in case.

Phew. Thank goodness for that explanation. For a moment I almost thought someone wanted to name their baby "Diabetes"!
