Ariana vs. Arielle

Which do you prefer? Arielle has been a long-time favorite name for me, but it’s becoming popular now (and I see it in these polls lately a lot). But I know two little girls named Ariana, and I don’t actually know anyone named Arielle. So, which do you think will age better, and be less overused? thanks - please leave comments!

My name is Ariel, and I’ve only come across a few people in my life with the same name. Ariana is currently MUCH more popular. Ariel/Arielle would be very nice.

I agree. I think Arielle is much prettier and not as popular as Ariana.

Ariana is very popular right now, so not my first choice. I love the name Ariel. It’s beautiful and meaningful. I would choose this spelling over Arielle, which would be the french pronunciation of R-E-L.
