Joseph Edward vs. Benjamin Edward

Hi these are our 2 preferred names, The problem I have is that Benjamin is my husbands name so not sure if that’s a good idea at all.... 2 bens could get annoying! I’m also worried about Joseph being a bible name when we aren’t religious however Its my Grandads name so it has meaning to it. The other issue is that the initials will spell JEW - is this an issue???? (edward is a family name that we would like to use - I dont like it as a first name as it can get shortened to Edd & Eddy) Really struggling - opinions very welcome. Many thanks in advance x

I like Edward Benjamin. I know you said you don’t like it as a first name because it can get shortened but my name is Jennifer and when I was little people tried called me Jenny and my Mother corrected them a few times and then that was it and Jennifer stuck until I got to high school and I started my own nn as Jenn. So I’m not sure if it would be that much of a struggle. But I also know that my sister-in-law’s name is the same as mine too and that gets confusing and stressful at times so I can’t imagine father/son having the same name! But alot of people do it! Just giving you some food for thought! GL!
